I’m Zachary Sisco, LPCA, and I provide in-person individual therapy for adults in Tigard, Oregon. I work with adults experiencing substance use concerns, depression, anxiety, men’s issues, and challenges related to life after incarceration.
My decision to become a therapist grew from a deeply empathetic outlook on life and a genuine desire to understand what other people are going through. I believe everyone deserves a place where they can speak honestly without being judged or reduced to the challenges they have faced. My goal is to create that kind of space while also helping clients make meaningful, practical changes in their lives.
My style as a therapist is direct, warm, and humorous. Therapy can involve difficult and serious conversations, but I do not believe every session needs to feel overly formal or uncomfortable. I want clients to feel that they can be themselves with me. I will listen with empathy, offer honest feedback, and work alongside you rather than simply telling you what to do.
I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an approach that examines how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors influence one another. Together, we can identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, develop practical coping skills, and find healthier ways to respond to life’s challenges. Our work will be tailored to your circumstances, values, and goals rather than following a one-size-fits-all formula.
Through therapy, I hope to help clients develop greater self-understanding, build practical tools for managing difficult situations, and create a clearer sense of direction. You do not need to have everything figured out before beginning. We can start with where you are and work toward where you would like to be. I earned my master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Pepperdine University. As a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, I practice under the clinical supervision of Samantha Coley, LPC-S.
Outside of my professional work, I enjoy practicing Jiu-Jitsu. I appreciate the discipline, problem-solving, persistence, and continued growth it requires—qualities that often have value both on and off the mat.
If you are ready to begin working toward greater understanding, healthier coping skills, and a stronger sense of direction, I invite you to book an appointment.
